Timo Ulrichs is a Head of Studies on International Disaster Relief at the Akkon University for Human Sciences, Berlin, Germany. In 2018, he founded the Institute for Research in International Assistance at the university. There, his research interests are healthcare system development and medical aspects of humanitarian aid as well as global health security aspects. In addition, in the Koch-Metchnikov-Forum, he heads the section of tuberculosis and is active in various German-Russian/Eastern European collaborative projects. In the Institute for Global Health Berlin, he contributes to think tank projects as well as links between science and politics.
