Dr. Benedikt Bender is since January 2020 part of the „GOVRUS-Project“, and he is a researcher at Goethe-University Frankfurt/Main at the chair in qualitative empirical research methods. In addition, he is currently associate member at the Collaborative Research Centre 884 „Political Economy of Reforms“ at University of Mannheim. He studied sociology, political science and social work in Heidelberg, Wrocław and Darmstadt and from 2014 to 2019 he was a PhD researcher at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), Collaborative Research Centre, and Chair of Macrosociology at the University of Mannheim. His research focuses on comparative analysis of welfare states in Europe, political economy, and the role of business interest and trade unions in reform process.
