2nd Annual Conference of the University Consortium last week
News from Oct 12, 2017
From the 5th to the 6th October, the second Annual Conference of the University Consortium took place in Washington, D.C. Funded by Carnegie Corporation, and hosted by the Kennan Institute, all University Consortium partners have been present to discuss current pressing topics, issues and challenges in the relations between Russia, Europe and the United States. Discussions have mainly evolved around the question on how to tackle misperceptions and which steps forward could help to ameliorate the relationship. As the project has now reached the end of its first stage, partners have also engaged in a debate on what to structurally change in the projects setting. CGP participants, among others, have reflected the alleged misperceptions and options of improving the relations critically.
One part of the conference has been allocated for the student webinar, in which students in regionally clustered groups of the partner institutions have presented their collaborated work. From Freie Universität Berlin side, we are happy to announce that Sandra Rector and Stelian Dumitrache have successfully participated and presented their work on “Regional Perspectives on Cyber Security”.
