The Institute for East European Studies at Freie Universität Berlin is internationally renowned for interdisciplinary research and teaching. For decades, the Institute has counted among its members leading experts in history, culture, politics, sociology, and economics of Eastern Europe and provided unique interdisciplinary training to its students. The Institute for East European Studies is very well connected and cooperates in teaching and research with leading academic institutions in East European and around the world.
